You have cybersecurity insurance – you are feeling pretty good. Then – your are hacked. You take solace in knowing that insurance will help cover the cost of the loss. Then you are told your insurer is protected from costs related to damage from war, and they cite “cyberwar”. A rarely used clause in insurance contracts. And now you feel like you were hacked all over again. Be sure to read the fine print and do your research before you sign on the dotted line for cybersecurity insurance.
