It was only a few years ago that I had a hard time convincing people that our nation was facing an impending cybersecurity crisis. Today that is no longer the case as cyber threat capabilities evolve rapidly and cyber-crime rates rise to alarming levels. At the same time, the targeting efforts of adversarial nation-states and their criminal proxies have expanded well beyond federal government information systems and now have small businesses and local government entities squarely in their crosshairs.
