As graduation Georgia Cyber Center Student Assistant - AU Gradday approaches, we’re getting ready to celebrate one of our own. After two and a half years with the Outreach and Engagement team at the Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center, Lorelei Culbreth is graduating with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in digital marketing from Augusta University.

It’s hard to sum up her time here in a few sentences. Lorelei has been a steady presence on our team, someone who showed up ready to learn, ready to ask questions and ready to grow. A lot of questions, by her own admission. The kind that spark cool ideas and stronger work.

“Working on the Outreach and Engagement team for the last two and a half years has been the best experience,” she shared. “The level of trust, responsibility and confidence I was given to complete my projects well and timely was incredibly helpful for my personal growth and self-confidence.”

That growth shows. Over time, Lorelei became more comfortable speaking up, asking for help when needed and pushing herself into areas that did not come naturally at first. She leaned into curiosity and built real confidence along the way. Those are the kinds of skills that do not just shape a student. They shape a career.

Her work also gave her a deeper understanding of branding and why it matters. Not just how something looks, but how it connects.

“My time here has allowed me to understand so much more about branding and how important it is for an audience to truly connect with and understand a business,” she said.

That perspective is something she will carry with her into her next chapter.

After graduation, Lorelei will step into a new role as Campus Staff with Campus Outreach at the University of South Carolina Aiken, beginning in August. Campus Outreach is a Christian college ministry focused on building relationships with students and helping them grow in their faith or explore Christianity. In this role, she will disciple and mentor students, lead Bible studies and help plan events both on and off campus. She will also connect with a wide range of student groups including commuters, athletes and sororities.

It is work that feels personal to her. She has been involved with Campus Outreach for the past five years as a student at Augusta University, and now she is stepping into a role where she can give back in a deeper way.

“I’m beyond excited to start working on staff with Campus Outreach in Aiken this fall,” she said.

Her background in digital marketing and branding will continue to play a role as she helps promote events and connect with students across campus. The same skills she sharpened here will now help her reach a new audience in a meaningful way.

Outside of the classroom and her work at the Georgia Cyber Center, Augusta University study abroad - Georgia Cyber Center student assistant Lorelei also made the most of her time at Augusta University in other ways. She studied abroad twice, traveling to the Philippines in 2024 with Campus Outreach and to Italy in 2026 through Augusta University’s study abroad program. Both trips marked her first experiences overseas and left a lasting impression, even if the long flights were not her favorite part.

As for where she sees herself in five years, she is open to the journey ahead.

“I don’t know where I see myself in five years. I’m excited to see where the Lord takes me and where I go next.”

That sense of openness, paired with the confidence she has built, feels like the perfect place to start.

We are proud of the work she has done here and even more proud of the person she has become. Watching students grow into who they are meant to be is at the heart of what we do, and her story is a reminder of why it matters.

We will miss Lorelei on our team, but we are excited to see the impact she will make in this next chapter.

Wishing her all the best as she steps into what comes next!
