AUGUSTA (WFXG) — When you hear about a cyber range, what do you think of? If the concept of a cyber range abstract to you, you’re not alone. The Georgia Cyber Center is working to change that, and make the range more accessible for companies.

Chris Apsey is one of the Georgia Cyber Center’s newest employees, but he already has an ambitious goal.

“I fully intend on opening up the range and its capabilities and its offerings to whoever wants it,” said Apsey, the director of the Cyber Range. “So, if you’re a legitimate security researcher, you can request access to the range or request access to the research on whatever access you’ve got going, and we’ll give it to you at no cost. You just have to keep us up to date on the up and up, with whatever you find. That’s all.”
