AUGUSTA, GA – March 10, 2020 – SOFTACT Solutions, LLC (STS) announced today that they have opened a principal office in the Shaffer MacCartney Building of the Georgia Cyber Center.

Committed to helping create the ecosystem that is required to make the Fort Gordon Cyber district a nationally recognized destination for Cyber talent and innovation, STS has embraced the idea of true partnership with academia, industry, and government by partnering with Augusta University, the Georgia Cyber Center, and the Alliance for Fort Gordon to create an environment necessary to cultivate local talent for the cyber workforce and drive a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship while simultaneously meeting the needs of our government partners both regionally and nationally.

“We are extremely excited to welcome SOFTACT Solutions to the Georgia Cyber Center”, said Michael Shaffer, Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning and Economic Development for Augusta University.  “It is an exciting time for our region in terms of economic growth. We welcome partners, like SOFTACT Solutions, who are dedicated to contributing to furthering the growth of our vibrant community.”

In a short period of time, STS has established partnerships with resident partners of the Georgia Cyber Center resulting in tangible results. These partnerships are designed to find solutions to common problems and assist the community in achieving its objective as a Cyber Community of Excellence. In partnership with the CSRA Alliance, STS has funded a full-time position for the Alliance to assist them in synchronizing disparate efforts across the region. STS is funding positions for part-time employees for Augusta University’s IT department to support the software application, Service Now. This mutually beneficial partnership allows Augusta University to increase efficiency while allowing STS to identify candidates for future employment. To assist the Georgia Cyber Center, STS has funded part-time employees to support the marketing and strategic messaging goals of the Georgia Cyber Center.

“We are very excited to be part of the transformational growth that strives to contribute to a robust knowledge-based economy that is destined for national recognition.  The Georgia Cyber Center is ideally suited to provide synergy and leadership in creating a “Cyber Eco-System” that produces the talent needed for our region and our nation, and STS is excited to play a small part in that transformation.” said Sam Anderson, Executive Vice President, SOFTACT Solutions, LLC.

“SOFTACT Solutions is an amazing partner that understands the tremendous value and impact of the sum of the relationships at the Georgia Cyber Center,” said Eric Toler, Executive Director of the Georgia Cyber Center. “They have hit the ground running, establishing partnerships and helping to build an ecosystem that will benefit our community, our region, and the nation.
