The fall semester is officially underway, and we’re excited to see students back at the Georgia Cyber Center at Augusta University!
Students from both Augusta University and Augusta Technical College returned to campus last week, bringing plenty of energy back to the buildings. Whether you’re returning for another semester or this is your first time on campus, we want to help you make the most of your time here.
The Georgia Cyber Center at Augusta University is more than a place to attend class. It’s a campus where students can learn alongside cybersecurity professionals, connect with industry and government leaders and get a firsthand look at the work happening across the cybersecurity field.
Your Schools, Your Campus
The Georgia Cyber Center at Augusta University is home to programs from both universities.
Students from the Augusta University School of Computer and Cyber Sciences and Augusta Technical College School of Business, Cyber and Design are part of the community here.
That puts you in a pretty unique position as a student. You’re learning in a building surrounded by cybersecurity companies, government organizations, educators and professionals working in the field.
So don’t be afraid to introduce yourself.
A conversation in an elevator, a question at an event or even a quick introduction in the hallway could turn into a new connection, internship opportunity or future career lead. You never know who you might meet when you’re walking through the Georgia Cyber Center at Augusta University.
Grab a Coffee, Lunch or Snack
Need a caffeine boost between classes? Looking for something to eat without leaving campus?
Buona Caffè is located inside the Georgia Cyber Center and offers coffee, tea, smoothies, breakfast, lunch and snacks. There’s also a vending area on the first floor when you need something quick between classes.
And when you do have a little more time, take advantage of the location.
The Georgia Cyber Center is within walking distance of the Augusta Riverwalk, downtown restaurants, coffee shops and other things to see and do. Whether you’re grabbing lunch with classmates or taking a break to explore downtown Augusta, there’s plenty nearby.

A Quick Reminder About Building Access
Because the Georgia Cyber Center at Augusta University is home to students, industry partners and government organizations, security is an important part of everyday life on campus.
Please remember to wear your badge and keep it visible at all times while you are in the buildings.
It’s a small thing, but it helps everyone know who belongs in the building and keeps our campus secure.
Take Advantage of Where You Are
One of the best parts about being a student at the Georgia Cyber Center at Augusta University is the access you have to people and organizations working in the field.
You’re surrounded by cybersecurity companies, government officials, researchers, educators and professionals who are doing the work you’re learning about in the classroom.
Take advantage of the people around you. There are a lot of smart, interesting people working in this building, and they’re doing all kinds of things in cybersecurity and technology. If you see someone at an event or around campus, don’t be afraid to introduce yourself or ask about what they do. You’re already in a place where you can meet people working in the field, so take advantage of it. You never know when a quick conversation could lead to a new connection or give you an idea for where you want to go next.
Welcome Back!
We’re glad to have Augusta University and Augusta Technical College students back at the Georgia Cyber Center at Augusta University for another semester.
We hope you’ll take advantage of everything the campus has to offer, from the classrooms and programs to the people, events, food and downtown Augusta just outside the doors.
